2023 Review

A round up of 2023

We would like to thank you all very much for taking the time to share your media viewing habits over the last year. It’s time to share how you were rewarded for completing our surveys – whether you’re rewarded in shopping vouchers, community group or charity donations.

We awarded an amazing £13,205 worth of shopping vouchers in 2023 simply for completing surveys.

Funding community groups

It is also good to share that in 2023 our Media Panel Wales community group fundraising scheme awarded £2,765 to community groups. Well done to all those members raising money for their local community, society, choir, or sports group. Look out for those bonus surveys too – as they will help you reach more rewards and funds that much sooner!

Donations to charity

Members continued to support our partner charities in Wales, generously donating £1,550 – helping and benefiting Tŷ Hafan, Wales Air Ambulance, Age Cymru, Tŷ Gobaith, RSPCA and Hywel Dda Health Charities.

Prize winners

14 members were lucky winners of a variety of treats and goods from flash prizes to Welsh chocolates, coffee, and luxury hampers in our prize draws during the year.

Look out for more prize draw opportunities and you might be among the winners next time!

More new members for Media Panel Wales

We welcomed many new members to Media Panel Wales, from Holyhead to Haverfordwest, from Wrexham to Risca – helping make sure all areas of Wales are represented in the research.

We plan to be out and about at various events this year again – so do come and say ‘Hello’ if you see us!

In the meantime, why not be social and keep up with the latest Media Panel Wales news on social media and on our news page.

Your viewing habits research

We’re all now consuming media in a host of different ways, on different devices, platforms, and channels, so the detail you provide us is increasingly important to our clients, including S4C.

With your help we can report on viewing in Wales – not only ‘what you watch’, but, behind the numbers, we can add ‘why you watch’. The research also provides details of viewing across TV, and different platforms and devices. Your survey data contribute to key strategic decisions including scheduling and programme content and provide our clients with expert insight on what viewers want and why. So, you really are playing your part in shaping the future of the media in Wales!

We are looking forward to the year ahead – and whatever programmes you’ll be watching – we wish you a happy, healthy, and a rewarding 2024.
